Hotel description:
The building is originally from the second half of the 16th century. The present condition is a result of a reconstruction at the end of the 19th century, when the house was enlarged. A record from the second oldest civic market book of Cesky Krumlov informs us that in 1572 'Anna kanclirka', the wife of the Rosenberg chancellor Vaclav Albin z Helfenburka, sold this newly built house to Hans Strohschneider, known in Czech as Rezac. In 1589 Hans Rezac sold this house to a draper named Hans Andres. The surname of the new owner, who lived here until the year 1619, sounded like Andre.
