The exciting night look of the Prague Castle can be considered as the most amazing Prague sight. Bright lights on the hill with the Cathedral of St. Vite, fortification wall are rising above it, we can say that this view is the card of this city. You can recognize this view even if you have never been to Prague. Walking through The Prague castle buildings you can find every architectural style, appeared after the Christ birth. The Castle includes gothic St. Vite Cathedral, romanesque basilica of St. George, a monastery and several palaces, gardens and defence towers. Allmost all of castle areas are opened daily to the tourists. Nowadays, the castle houses exciting museums, including the famous National Gallery collection of Bohemian baroque and mannerism art, Czech history exhibition, Toy Museum and Rudolph's II picture gallery of Prague Castle. Summer Shakespeare Festival regularly takes place in the courtyard of the Burgrave Palace.
While taking a walk around the Prague Castle you can visit the world famous Golden Street, which is located behind the St. George basilica. Small colorful buildings and cobble-stone road make the street notable among all the others. There lived people who served in the castle and the archers. At the beginning of 20th century Prague bohemia was living here, for example Franz Kafka. Nowadays there is situated souvenir market and also the gallery, where you can see the ancient knight’s armours , women dresses and even shoot from the arbalest. Area of Loretta built by the project of architect Dincenhoffer is the pride of Prague Castle. Here, near the Prague Castle, you can find the Nerudova Street, that will take you from Castle down to the Charles Bridge. In medieval times it was the part of the Royal Rute, where all Czech kings had to walk. This street is named after the famous Czech poet Jan Neruda, who lived in 19th century.
