| Vltava River |

The Vltava is a relatively pollution-free river (although we won't recommend to swim there) which flows from the South of the Czech Republic through Prague to the Northern border. The Vltava river runs through many of other czech small historical cities and is broken at various points by dams. Canoeing and sailing not to mention picnics and bathing are very popular during the summertime and also you can see many fishermen all times of the year in reasonable temperatures. For the visitor to Prague the river might be a way to view many of the best parts of town at leisure. Boat trips night and day regularly wind their way up to as far as Holesovice and back offering music, drinks and meals along the way. During the summer a boat on weekends will take you for a day trip as far as the Slapy Dam 20km south of Prague. There are a lot of historical bridges over Vltava, such as Nusselsky most (known also as the bridge of the suicidals), oldest and most famous Charles Bridge, Czech's bridge, and many others, you can find may beautiful statues on those bridges.
