Prague is one of the most exciting cities,located in the heart in Europe. During its long history it received manz names: Golden Prague, Tower Prague, The Pearl pf European Crown etc.
The history of the Prague started in 3rd century b.c., when green and fertile valley of Vltava River was chosen by Celt tribes. In 5th century anno domini, during the Great Migration of People, Slovans came to this territory. They live here till this days.
An independent capital of the Czech Republic was formed in 18th century as a result of consolidation of 6 royal areas, each of which had his own territory, architectures and administration. The most ancient were Prague Castle and Vysehrad. According to the historical chronicles of famous historian Kosmas the first king of Czech Republic was Premyslovec, that founded rich city on the top of the hill – Prague Castle, and in the 10th century on the embankment of Vltava River was founded high fortress – Vysehrad. Other royal districts were formed later in 13-15th centuries, but are also known all over the world due to their wonderful history, art and architecture.
Tourists can make a tour across the Royal Road, that all Czech kings walked trough, as it was ritual, invented by Karl the Great. The kings started their way from the Vyshegrad and passed the Old Town, Karlov Bridge and Lesser Town, finishing in the Prague Castle.
The Royal Road is one of the most attractive places for tourists stay – here are situated lots of small amazing hotels of various levels. You can get almost everywhere from this Roal ROad. In current times Prague is a wonderful city, cultural, scientific and industrial centre of country.
